The world we live in is beautiful and filled with miracles. Unfortunately, our world is also full of trials which we can overcome with the love of our families, friends, and God. Our path is already written for us we just have to make the right decisions in life to stay on that path. As a mother of four I experience these trials and tribulations daily. Our days are filled with a lot of laughter, excitement, intrigue, but also disagreements and frustration. Perfection is not something we strive for because in life nothing can be perfect, at least not without photoshop. Many times I receive praise from others that think I am an amazing mom that has it all together because I homeschool my children and have them in several different activities that creates quite a busy schedule in our lives. Does it make life crazy? Yes. Is it worth it? Most definitely. Homeschooling my children was an extremely difficult decision but I want only the best for my children in life and I have been blessed with the patience and the ability to do so. Educating my children is not an easy task and we have our days where they have no questions and days where they are having a bad day and don't understand anything that they are taught. On these days it is sometimes easier to call it a day and try again the next day. Homeschooling is not something I have chosen to do because I do not want my children to be social and I am an overprotective parent. I want them to experience life and learning in more than just a textbook. I want to be the judge of what they are taught and I want the right to teach my children proper morals and values that they may not get from a traditional school setting. I want them to learn about what they love and pursue their dreams to the fullest. As a homeschool mother my job is not easy but it is completely worth it! Today marks day 3 of 6 straight days of spending at least 4 hours at dance and I am loving every second of it. Life is hectic but it is beautiful and amazing all at the same time. I couldn't imagine life any other way. So the next time you attempt to praise this homeschool mom please remember that I am just like you. I don't need praise for doing what I love. Sometime's my kids drive me crazy but I am sure that is no different than yours. My children are well behaved young ladies that have manners and the utmost respect for their peers, animals, and our world. To be able to spend so much time with them is a true blessing because childhood only lasts so long. Life is a journey and we are loving it!
