So much to do in this ocean front city....

The Point Pinos light house was awesome to visit! The view is spectacular! You can get an up close look at hour the lighthouse works and history of this particular one. Did you know this light house was used during World War II to watch for Japanese submarines? We were really surprised to learn many lighthouse keepers are women.

Robinson Jeffers house was beautiful! We didn't get a chance to take a tour this time but it looks straight out of a fairytale! Can't wait to return!

The MISSION SAN CARLOS BORROMEO DEL RÍO CARMELO is the resting place for Father Juniepero Serra. This was a pretty neat mission to visit. The decor was beautiful and quite extravagant compared to many other missions that I have had the pleasure of visiting. The gardens are simply beautiful.

The Historic state park in Monterey was one of my favorite visits on this trip because there was so much to see. There is a large museum in Pacific house and there are several other areas to visit that allow you to not only see but touch items and artifacts that were/ and are similar to what was used in the early settlers time periods. The upstairs portion of the museum is awesome and mostly dedicated to the Natives of the region. A really interesting and fun visit.

If you visit this state park make sure to visit Crepes of Brittany just a walk from the state park! The crepes are so delicious.
